I started my art class! This is my first finished work that isn't something annoying like shading in cylinders. I'm going to start painting this week, which should be fun.
It's modeled after a bust that was lying around in the studio. Originally, the light parts are nearly white, but the camera gave everything a sort of flat gray tone. Photoshop failed to help without making it look weird - oh well.

this is really good. I especially like the background and you did an amazing job shading the chin.
my word of advice if you don't mind is to darken the eyes. eyes are usually the focal point of a drawing and in your case it is the ruffles on the shirt that is the focal point. Another thing is the neck. The left side of the neck (my left) looks as if it is popping out of no where. And i looks as if the ear is embedded in the neck. Just a few tips, it says that you would like advanced critique so there you go!
Keep it up...you have something here.!
